Here we are putting your awesome JUNK to good use again! We showed great problem solving skills, teamwork, and persistence as we created our traps. We are very tricky!

Snowy Star Words

The calendar might say spring, but we know MN thinks differently! Earlier this month we used the green screen to show off our favorite WINTER activity and share the sight word snowmen we made. Watch this video at home with your kindergartner to practice sight words. *Note: We are amateur green screen producers...it's not perfect, but we had fun making it!

Read with Expression

A favorite song in kindergarten is "Read with Expression...don't Read Like a Robot". Ask your kindergartner to sing it for you! We practiced our fluency as we recorded ourselves reading our poem books on the Flipgrid app. Check out our fluency grid at the link below.

Our Habitat Research

HABITAT and ADAPT were new vocabulary words for us this week. We researched online and in books to find out about a variety of habitats. On Thursday we worked in groups to make posters about a particular habitat. On Friday we used our summarizing skills to share our thinking about each habitat. At School: Our Readers' Theater

Ms. Gersch helped us with our fluency as we read a Readers' Theater book about school. We practiced our parts and performed in front of our green screen to make it look like we were in different parts of the school performing.
