We have been examining the features of nonfiction and have become owl experts along the way. This week we made owls and shared our owl facts with a green screen video. We loved choosing real owl pictures for our background. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Stem Challenge

After reading the poem Five Little Pumpkins Sitting on the Gate, we took on the STEM challenge of making a gate for our pumpkins. We worked with partners to use different manipulatives for our creations. We kept trying, even when our ideas didn’t work the first time.

Our Strong Schema

In readers' workshop we have been learning about our schema. Schema is the prior knowledge we have about a topic. Everyone's schema is different because our experiences are different. We thought about some topics that was have a STRONG schema for and wrote and drew about them in the video below.
